Travelled to Kusidasi and embarked on a tour of the Turkish village of Sirince. The area has a history dating back to the Hellenistic period (323–31 BC). Pottery found around the village indicates the presence of seven villages and nine farmsteads in the area, dating back to ancient and medieval times. There are several Roman aqueducts in the village — a water source for ancient Ephesus. The area is a rare and attractive example of Ottoman Christian architecture.

We stopped at a carpet factory on the way. The guy from Wollongong was quite persuasive!
